His practice is dedicated to general ophthalmology with an emphasis on cataract surgery, intraocular lenses, refractive surgery and laser vision correction. He has extensive experience in treating adult and pediatric strabismus.
He received his medical degree from the National University of Córdoba (Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Argentina) and completed his specialty training in ophthalmology at the Pedro Lagleyze Institute (Instituto Pedro Lagleyze, Buenos Aires, Argentina). He is board certified by the Argentinian Board of Ophthalmology (Consejo Argentino de Oftalmología) and the Medical Board of La Pampa (Consejo Superior Médico de La Pampa, Argentina).
Presently he serves as tutor on behalf of the Argentinian Board of Ophthalmology for the distance learning master's degree of the Catholic University of Salta (Universidad Católica de Salta). He's also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS).
Dr. Cortina has been practicing ophthalmology in La Pampa since 1977, always with a strong commitment in providing service to the community. He's medical advisor to the School for the Blind and the League for the Help of the Diabetic Patient (Liga de Ayuda al Enfermo Diabético, L.I.P.A.D.I), and provides free clinical and surgery services to the nursing home of Santa Rosa, La Pampa. |
His practice is dedicated to clinical ophthalmology and surgery, with an emphasis on cataract surgery and intraocular lens, refractive surgery and laser vision correction. He has a special interest in eyelid and tear duct surgery.
He received his medical degree from the National University of La Plata (Universidad Nacional de La Plata) and completed his specialty training in ophthalmology at the Pedro Lagleyze Institute (Instituto Pedro Lagleyze, Buenos Aires), where he was chief resident. He is board certified by the Medical Board of La Pampa (Consejo Superior Médico de La Pampa) and has successfully passed the recertification examination of the Medical Association of Argentina (Asociación Médica Argentina).
He has a master's degree in ophthalmology from the Argentinian Board of Ophthalmology (Consejo Argentino de Oftalmología) and the Catholic University of Salta (Universidad Católica de Salta). He's a member of the Argentinian Society of Ophthalmology (Sociedad Argentina de Oftalmología), the Argentinian Board of Ophthalmology (Consejo Argentino de Oftalmología), and the Argentinian Society of Oculoplastics (Sociedad Argentina de Plástica Ocular).
Dr. Gómez Luna has been practicing ophthalmology in La Pampa since 1997 with a strong commitment in providing service to the community, providing free clinical and surgery services to the nursing home of Santa Rosa, La Pampa and taking part every year of the national awareness campaigns on glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy launched by the Argentinian Board of Ophthalmology |
His practice is dedicated to general ophthalmology with an emphasis on cataract surgery and intraocular lenses, refractive surgery for high myopia with phakic intraocular lenses and treatment of corneal diseases like keratoconus with intrastromal rings and corneal transplants.
He received his medical degree with honors from the Maimónides University (Universidad Maimónides) and completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Clínicas Hospital (Hospital de Clínicas José de San Martín, Buenos Aires), where he was chief resident and instructor in anterior segment surgery. He is board certified by the Medical Board of La Pampa (Consejo Superior Médico de La Pampa) and the Medical Board of Buenos Aires Province (Colegio Médico del Distrito 7 Provincia de Buenos Aires).
He works with the Lions Club to provide an important public service to the city of Trenque Lauquen, offering free surgery services for the people in need.

Her practice is dedicated to clinical ophthalmology and surgery with an emphasis on corneal transplants, refractive surgery, cataract and intraocular lenses. She has a special interest in keratoprosthesis and the artificial cornea transplant program.
She received her medical degree from the Buenos Aires University (Universidad de Buenos Aires) and completed her specialty training in ophthalmology at the Louisiana State University in New Orleans, and a subspecialty training in cornea, external eye diseases and refractive surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago under the direction of Drs. Dimitri Azar and Joel Sugar.
Her research activities include a two-year fellowship in basic research under the direction of Dr. Nicolas Bazan. She received grants from Louisiana State University to conduct research focusing on corneal nerve regeneration after refractive surgery. Recently she received another grant (RO1) from the National Institutes of Health to continue her research in this field. She has been awarded for her research work by the Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology (AUPO).
